World Sports Festival 2008

Thursday, 13 March 2008

The next Junior Team England event will be the World Sports Festival.

This is the event formerly known as the United World Games. In 2007 Team England entered a team of six girls and six boys selected from the NAYBC Academy. The team represented their country magnificently and came home with a superb haul of medals. The event was capped by the Adult Mens Team (who were about to compete in the Mens European Championships at the other bowl in Vienna) coming along to support them in the singles finals.....FANTASTIC!!

This year the event has changed it's name and is again to be held in Vienna, Austria. The dates for the festival are between the 4th and 6th July. Here is a link to the official website http://www.world-sports-festival.com/en/. The team selections have now been posted.
